Roll Away the Stone – Find New Life in Christ
In the story of Lazarus from ‘John 11:38, John 11:38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.’
Here we discover a deep message of hope. Just like the stone that sealed Lazarus' grave, many of us face situations that have locked us away from God's miraculous touch. To some it's the personal stone of ‘Lord I'm tired. I'll do whatever I want, whenever and however I want it without minding your instructions.’ They've become totally inaccessible. Some of us have even placed personal stones of stubbornness and disobedience. But today, Jesus is calling you to roll away the stone and allow Him into your life.
When Jesus is ready to remove your stone, He will call your name. Don't delay; respond immediately. It's the voice of resurrection, leading you to your next level.
Give Jesus control over your life. Let Him lead the way. You're no longer in charge, but He is, and that's where true freedom is found. When you open your heart to God, He wants to write your name in the book of history. Your story will become a source of inspiration for others. You'll become a living testimony. You will go around showing people the scars of your past and the badge of your victory. You will sing ‘Come and see what the Lord has done; I once was lost but now I'm found, once blind but now I see.
Sometimes it might feel like God is late, just as Jesus came four days after Lazarus had died. But it's in these moments that God prepares to display His glory.
Remember, your situation is not hopeless; it is not unto death; it's an opportunity for God's glory to shine. Don't give up because God is still willing to work with you.
Sometimes, the stone blocking your path is a result of your family or ancestors. Other times, it's the negativity from those around you. Be open to God's voice and say, "Lord, I am open to whatever You have to say." One thing I'm sure of is, that even if others give up on you, know that Jesus is ready to set you free.
Prayers: Lord I give you my life to you, everything I have been through, use it for your glory. Lord I give up my days! Lord I give you my heart, I give you my soul, I live for you alone, every breath that I take, every moment I'm awake, Lord have your way in me. Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for forgiveness for all my sins. Let the stone obstructing my path be rolled off in Jesus' name. I hear the voice of Jesus the resurrection and life and I arise out of obscurity into limelight. I come out of myself into Christ in Jesus' name. Amen
As you roll away the stones that obstruct your life, allow God to guide you from darkness into His glorious light. Trust that He has a plan for you, and your testimony will inspire others to overcome obstacles. Give Jesus the driver's seat and experience the joy of living in Christ.
